The events of the game unfold fourteen years before the events of the first Gears of War. The plot begins on E-Day, when ruthless monsters emerged from underground and started wreaking havoc, threatening all of humanity. The main characters are Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago. Both heroes recently returned home after the Pendulum Wars, in one of which Dominic's brother, Carlos Santiago, was killed.

I'm really looking forward to the release of the sequel. Unfortunately, this will be a completely different storyline. But I believe that it will be no less interesting than the last one.
