The new patch for DayZ added Livonia to the base game
Update 1.25 has been released for the zombie survival game DayZ. The main addition concerns Livonia — now the expansive region from the DLC is available to all owners of the base game. However, the price of the game has also increased — from $45 to $50.
The developers also added background music, which was recorded in collaboration with Czech musician Dikolson. The current tracklist duration is about 70 minutes, but the studio plans to add more compositions in the future.
Additionally, update 1.25 includes a rework of firearm sounds, including updated shotgun, crossbow, and grenade launcher shots. The team is also working on rebalancing audibility: now player actions are recognized within a radius of 50 meters.
Finally, the authors fixed some bugs and added a new weapon — the bolt-action rifle VS-89.
Later in 2024, update 1.26 will be released, preparing the game for the Frostline expansion.
