American actress Shannen Doherty died at the age of 53. The celebrity had been battling cancer for many years.

The devoted daughter, sister, aunt and friend was surrounded by her loved ones as well as her dog, Bowie. The family asks for their privacy at this time so they can grieve in peace.
Shannen Doherty's acting career spans over 80 roles, but she gained true fame after the series Beverly Hills 90210 and Charmed. The actress also appeared in Kevin Smith's films Mallrats and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back.
Doherty was diagnosed with breast cancer in February 2015. In 2017, the actress went into remission, but the disease later returned. In June 2023, Doherty announced that the cancer had spread to her brain.
