Blizzard employee reveals total player spending on microtransactions in Diablo 4
Recently, Blizzard's Senior Product Manager Harrison Froeschke shared information about the total amount of money players have spent on microtransactions in Diablo 4.
According to him, the sum has already surpassed $150 million. He disclosed this information on his LinkedIn profile.
Overall, the project has generated over $1 billion in revenue for its creators, with microtransactions accounting for 15% of the total amount, based on the published data.
Diablo 4 was released in June 2023 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. On October 8th, the game will receive the Vessel of Hatred expansion, where players will have to thwart the devilish plans of Mephisto. The expansion will introduce a new Spirit Heir class, new locations, additional enemies, PvE challenges, and much more.
