Cinematic UE5 Action Game Project M Canceled
Project M, an adventure shooter with interactive cinematic elements, has been canceled. Korean company NCSoft halted development as part of its restructuring efforts.
Alongside Project M, NCSoft canceled three other games—Battle Crush, Miniverse, and Doguri Adventure—while establishing four new subsidiary companies. The company now appears to be focusing on the MMORPG Throne and Liberty, the mystical shooter Project LLL, and a strategy game called Tactan.
Project M, which was shown twice, followed the story of a widower and a mysterious killer in possession of advanced futuristic technology. Built on Unreal Engine 5, the game boasted impressive graphics.
It's worth noting that another Project M is still in development—a fantasy «Soulslike» from HOUND13.
