Recently, Raphael Colantonio, who contributed to the creation of Dishonored and Prey, criticized Metacritic scores using S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 as an example. Now, he has shared his review of the game itself, offering his overall impression. Based on his comments, he seems to have enjoyed GSC Game World's project.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 is not perfect but it's my Game Of The Year. The atmosphere, the brutality of the world, the survival, the free form exploration… Last game I enjoyed before this was BG3.
Colantonio shared this review in the comments of a user's post, who, in turn, was disappointed by S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2.
Interesting… not sure what to tell you. It somehow does it for me. I have tons of critiques for it, but in context of my current starvation for games like this, it feels good.
As a reminder, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 was released on November 20 for PC and Xbox Series X/S. At the time of writing, it has 83% positive reviews on Steam.
