S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 Developers Comment on Gamers' Ratings
Developers from GSC Game World gave another interview to IGN about the ratings and future support of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl. The studio was sure that players would be rather cool to the release due to its technical condition.
As Maria and Evgeny Grigorovich explained, over the past months, the developers had to spend 16 hours a day on the game in order to finish it in time for the release. However, the shooter came out quite buggy, and some functions like the A-Life 2.0 system had to be temporarily disabled. It was impossible to postpone the release again — the team had no strength left. Therefore, knowing about the errors that players would encounter, GSC Game World expected low ratings:
Nevertheless, the studio intends to continue working on the game so that user ratings become even higher over time:
Overall, GSC Game World believes that releasing the game in its current state is the best possible option, so the project can be proud of.
