The creator of It Takes Two has announced a new game, Split Fiction — trailer and release date revealed
Hazelight Studios has unveiled the debut trailer for their new co-op gameplay title, Split Fiction. The game is set to release on March 6, 2025, for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. The project was personally introduced by the studio's head and founder, Josef Fares.
In Split Fiction, players will travel across different worlds. The main characters, Mio and Zoe, are writers working on novels in the sci-fi and fantasy genres. At a certain point, they find themselves trapped in a machine that transports them into the storylines they were working on. Thus, the heroines will encounter dinosaurs, face off against robots, and witness a host of other fantastic things.
"You've just tamed a cute dragon, and now you're battling cyber ninjas, running from terrifying trolls, or dodging hovercars thrown at you by a robot valet. Everything is strange, dynamic, and made for two", — the description reads.
Key features include unexpected plot twists, diverse locations, and a well-developed co-op experience. To complete the game, players will need to coordinate their actions. Notably, you can play with a friend either on the same device (split-screen) or online.
By the way, the game is already available for pre-order.
