Cooperative action from the creators Its Takes Two and a way out, where magic is intertwined with technology, and unexpected turns change reality in the eyes. The main characters, Mio and Zoya, writers who work on novels in the genres of science fiction and fantasy.

Mio composes tense science fiction stories full of cyberpan, robots and high technologies. Zoya creates magical worlds, where dragons, trolls and various spells. They have always been opposites, but after they are connected to a mysterious machine capable of stealing ideas, their books come to life, mixing in a chaotic, unpredictable adventure. Now, in order to escape and preserve their memories, they have to learn to work together.

Players are waiting for exciting trials in which coherent actions solve everything. Each episode is a new challenge and a new world where you have to adapt to the fly: to tame the dragon so that it helps to cross the abyss, use laser weapons against medieval knights or run away from giant spiders along the neon streets of a futuristic megalopolis.

The game offers not just a series of trials, but a story about friendship, mutual understanding and creative confrontation. Players will not only overcome obstacles, but also solve how their characters are interconnected and what is actually behind the work of a mysterious machine.

Score: 9.5/10

Split Fiction is one of the best co-op games, period, that should not be missed under any circumstances. And it\'s a perfect reason to make new friends.

Reviews and ratings

The studio's third game in this genre is a success again! While the plot, in my opinion, is significantly inferior to previous hits, the gameplay is a carbon copy of It Takes Two, merely changing the setting. But that doesn't make the game bad. It's beautiful, fun, and dynamic, with numerous references to Hazelight Studios' past projects, as well as famous films and games. The optimization is excellent! My friend and I played it and never regretted the time we spent playing.

They promised a profound story about two female writers, but delivered a forced, millennial cringefest with cardboard heroines whose dreary squabbles in the style of "deep sci-fi pessimism versus rose-tinted fantasy" make you want to voluntarily fill your ears with molten lead. The gameplay is a complete mockery of common sense: a completely monolithic parkour, where the characters literally have magnetic heels that stick to platforms automatically, causing the game to essentially play itself while you lazily fiddle with one button. The level designers deserve compulsory therapy—one heroine flies and spits acid, and the other is given a winged dragon who, mind you, can't fly, but nimbly crawls through ivy. Seriously? The developers slashed all the fun competitive minigames, replacing them … Read full

Read full
