The Witcher 4 Developer Reveals Cryptic Message Hinting at the Game's Plot — Fans Have Already Deciphered It
At the end of November, CD Projekt RED announced that full-scale development of The Witcher 4 was underway. As a bonus, the team shared an image of a coin that could hint at the game’s storyline. Initially, only one side of the coin was shown — the other side was revealed just today.
The photo was shared by the game director of the fourth installment, Sebastian Kalemba. On the reverse side, Anglo-Saxon runes form a message that one fan quickly translated to read: "Days and nights pass and the blood remains the same."
The cryptic text has already sparked at least one major theory. Fans speculate that the new game’s story will revolve around destiny. Ciri, as a Child of the Elder Blood, may have to confront an unavoidable choice regardless of the path she takes.
According to rumors, The Witcher 4 is slated for release by the end of 2027. For the latest details about the game, click here.
