Metro Developers Were Working on an Open-World Space Shooter — Here's the Trailer
A gameplay trailer for Eolla, a space shooter developed by 4A Games, the creators of the Metro series, has surfaced online. Although the trailer has been on YouTube for two years, it only recently caught the attention of fans.
The footage shows the protagonist hunting an unidentified creature, stumbling upon a pack, and fleeing for their life. Unfortunately, the video quality is poor, leaving much to the imagination.
The trailer was initially shown behind closed doors at E3 2013. The game was envisioned as a sandbox with open-world exploration, reminiscent of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series. However, at some point, development was put on hold, and the game’s fate remains uncertain.
Meanwhile, 4A Games is currently working on a new installment in the Metro franchise. According to insider Tom Henderson, the project has been in a playable state for some time now.
