No Difference? Days Gone Remaster vs. 2019 Original — A Detailed Graphics Comparison

The first visual comparison between the Days Gone remaster and the original 2019 game has surfaced online. The upgraded version was officially announced during the State of Play presentation.

YouTuber Cycu1, known for his comparison videos, analyzed the graphics side by side. Based on the available footage, the remaster doesn’t seem to offer any noticeable improvements—in fact, some close-up shots appear even blurrier than in the original.

However, the game might look better in real-time gameplay, as developers have promised increased draw distance, improved shadows, and more realistic lighting. Additionally, the remaster will support DualSense features and include a new Horde Assault survival mode.

Days Gone Remastered launches on April 25 for PlayStation 5. Owners of the original game can upgrade for $10.
