The Blood of Dawnwalker Devs Aim to Achieve The Witcher 3 Quality on a Smaller Scale

The Blood of Dawnwalker was recently unveiled by the former developers of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Cyberpunk 2077. Although the debut project from Rebel Wolves doesn’t aim for AAA, the developers have big ambitions.
In an interview with GamesRadar, creative director Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz said that the game will take about 30–40 hours to complete. However, the creators are looking to The Witcher 3 in terms of excitement and plot:
In terms of quality, we definitely look at AAA, because this is where we are coming from, the quality level of The Witcher 3. Definitely, our games are not as huge in terms of amount of content and gameplay hours — we are a smaller studio, this is our first project, so we definitely are building something smaller. But we want to build something as robust in terms of quality, maybe a bit shorter.
By the way, Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz said that he doesn’t care about labels like “AAA” and “AAAA”, which have recently been assigned to various projects by large studios.
Let us remind you that The Blood of Dawnwalker will be an action RPG about a half-vampire who will have to save his loved ones in 30 days and 30 nights. The game will have a time limit, but it will not cause any inconvenience. The game is being developed on Unreal Engine 5 for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, but does not yet have a release date.
Earlier, the developers from Rebel Wolves told a little about the main character and revealed whether there will be romances in the game.
