Microsoft Delays Fable Reboot to 2026
February 25, 2025, 08:52 PM

Microsoft has announced that the upcoming fantasy RPG Fable is being pushed back to 2026. The game was initially slated for a late 2025 release on PC and Xbox Series X/S.
Craig Duncan, head of Xbox Game Studios, stated that he's thrilled with the progress and current state of the new Fable. The reason for the delay, he explained, is to give Playground Games more time to polish the project. Duncan acknowledged the disappointment from fans but assured them that the wait will be worth it.
Alongside the delay announcement, a brief gameplay trailer was released.
