New Trailer for 'Lazarus' Drops — Highly Anticipated Anime from the Creators of 'Cowboy Bebop' and 'John Wick'

Adult Swim has released a new trailer for Lazarus, one of the most anticipated anime series in recent years. The project is helmed by Cowboy Bebop creator Shinichirō Watanabe and produced by studio Mappa (Chainsaw Man, Jujutsu Kaisen), with John Wick director Chad Stahelski overseeing the action sequences.

Set in 2052, Lazarus follows a scientist who develops a cure for all diseases—only for a deadly twist to emerge three years later. Everyone who took the drug must now receive an antidote, or they will soon die. The story centers on Axel, a carefree thrill-seeker who joins the Lazarus task force to track down the scientist and save humanity.

Lazarus premieres on April 5. Meanwhile, Cowboy Bebop characters recently made an appearance in Fortnite.
