ZTE Unveils Smartphones with Direct Charging and AI Optimization for Gamers

At MWC 2025, ZTE introduced the nubia Neo 3 series, a lineup of gaming smartphones aimed at the budget segment. The new models — Neo 3 and Neo 3 GT — combine aggressive design, advanced gaming features, and an accessible price tag.

The base model boasts a 6.8-inch IPS display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1,000 nits of brightness, ensuring smooth visuals even in bright lighting conditions. At its core is the Unisoc T8300 processor, paired with 8GB of RAM, expandable to 12GB via virtual memory. Despite its affordable price, the device features stereo speakers with DTS:X Ultra support and a linear vibration motor for immersive haptic feedback. A large 6,000mAh battery supports 33W fast charging, while a 50MP main camera adds versatility to the device.

The flagship GT version stands out with an OLED display boasting 1,300 nits of brightness and an advanced vapor chamber cooling system. The Unisoc T9100 5G chipset, coupled with hybrid memory up to 24GB (12GB physical + 12GB virtual), promises flawless performance in mobile AAA titles. A standout feature is direct power supply, allowing the device to run off the grid without draining the battery — prolonging its lifespan. An 80W fast charger refuels the 6,000mAh battery in record time, while gaming triggers and RGB lighting serve as welcome additions.

Both models come equipped with the AI-powered Game Space 3.0, which optimizes system settings for each game, from resource allocation to touch button customization. The NeoTurbo mode minimizes lag, while the real-time AI translator breaks language barriers in online battles. Global sales are set to begin in late March 2025, with the Neo 3 5G priced at €249 and the Neo 3 GT 5G starting at €299.
