«The Game Is Never Ends» — Lionsgate Removes Saw 11 from Release Schedule, But the Franchise Still Has a Future

Earlier this month, reports surfaced that Saw 11 might have been canceled due to conflicts between producers. However, as recently reported by The Hollywood Reporter, it seems the franchise still has a future.
Recently, Saw 11 was removed from Lionsgate's release schedule. The film was initially set to premiere on September 26, but now the movie "The Strangers: Chapter 2" is expected to debut on that date.
Screenwriter Patrick Melton remains hopeful that Saw 11 will eventually be completed, as there is a compelling story that fits well within the franchise. He compared it to Saw 6, which depicted revenge against insurance company executives.
Moreover, to keep fans' hopes alive for the franchise's future, Lionsgate released a playful statement from Billy the Puppet, in which the mascot says: "I’ve seen the rumors. They say it’s Game Over. You all should know me better than that. The game is never over."
According to Patrick Melton, there were "internal disagreements" between producers and Lionsgate during the production of Saw 11. However, based on the latest information, the future film might still see the light of day at some point.
