Matt Reeves and Mattson Tomlin have finished writing the script for the superhero film The Batman Part 2. They announced this on X (Twitter).
Matt Reeves is directing, co-writing (with Mattson Tomlin), and producing (with Dylan Clark) the comic book movie. Robert Pattinson will return as Batman. The film was originally scheduled for release on October 2, 2026, but was delayed to October 1, 2027. The film will not be part of the new DC Universe, but will be released under the DC Elseworlds banner.
In other news, the final season of the Squid Game series dropped recently on Netflix. Before that, it was reported who might play Dan Hibiki in the Street Fighter adaptation.
