Frostpunk 2 creators showed the game's intro video with the old Captain
Developers from 11 bit studios released the official intro for Frostpunk 2. In the intro video, the elderly Captain from the first part appears, pondering the fate of the city.
After 30 years of enduring the relentless whiteouts, the crumbling British Empire still clings to survival. But as the Captain's final breath leaves his body, he realizes that mere survival is no longer enough in the current world. Will years of struggle and sacrifice be undone by ideological infighting? Or can the new Steward reconcile the political factions and inspire society to believe that New London can still stand strong?
The creators of Frostpunk 2 also shared a selection of facts about the new game in one of the latest trailers. Judging by the video, the cities in the sequel will receive improved infrastructure, which will complicate the game, more social problems will appear, residents will be able to express their discontent more clearly, and the player will have to negotiate with each faction, fearing betrayal from any side.
The release of Frostpunk 2 will take place on September 20 on PC, a little later the game will reach Xbox Series X / S and PlayStation 5. The project will also appear in the Game Pass service.
Earlier, the developers from 11 bit studios announced support for user mods, which will officially appear in the game.
