Follow our guide for step-by-step instructions and enrich your adventure with unique insights into the storyline.

How to Start Solving the Puzzle

To tackle the next puzzle in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, you must first complete the side quest A Nun in Trouble. This quest will be your starting point in an exciting adventure full of mysteries and puzzles. Once players finish exploring the Vatican Museum, the task will change — you need to follow your new acquaintance and ascend to the top floor of the Borgia Tower.

During a conversation with a nun named Juliana, you will receive a key that can be used to open a locked door in the same tower. After the cutscene, descend two floors and find the door leading to the balcony.

Walk along the balcony to the dead end and take the bottle of medicine and money from the locked chest. Now, enter the only door here. Examine the room and find the notes needed to solve the puzzle:

  • A poem in Italian (in the desk drawer).
  • A Polybius square diagram.

Additionally, you will find a skill book (Throttle) here.

How to Solve the Puzzle

In fact, solving it is quite simple, but due to localization issues, not all players manage to do so. The essence of the puzzle is to break the highlighted letters in the poem into pairs and match them with the diagram. It should look like this:

  • IR — 5
  • IA — 8
  • TA — 7
  • SA — 9

The code 5879 would indeed be correct, but entering this combination into the safe will not open it. The last digit 9 needs to be replaced with 3 to get the correct password — 5873.

Solving this puzzle will not bring you material in-game rewards, only unique photos and documents related to Indiana Jones Junior. Nevertheless, each of these documents will shed light on the plot, enriching your understanding of the story and granting you adventure points.
