AOC Launches a 2K, 300Hz Monitor with an AI Assistant for Perfect Shots

AOC has unveiled the Q25G4S. Initially announced in December 2024, this model is now available for order, offering a rare mix of features at its price point.
At its core is a 24.5-inch Fast IPS panel with a 2560×1440 resolution that can ramp up to 300Hz. This combination not only delivers silky smooth performance in CS:2 or Fortnite but also provides the level of detail needed for 4K video editing. With a 1ms (GTG) response time and adaptive sync support (G-Sync/FreeSync Premium), motion artifacts are virtually eliminated, while MBR Sync technology tackles blur even in high-speed scenes.
But the Q25G4S isn’t just about gaming tricks. Its DisplayHDR 400 certification guarantees a peak brightness of 400 cd/m², while 91% DCI-P3 and 100% sRGB coverage make it a powerful tool for designers. The monitor also boasts unique “cheater” features:
- Dark Boost 2.0 – Illuminates shadows without causing overexposure, revealing hidden opponents.
- AI Smart Control – AI algorithms analyze the scene and automatically adjust contrast and brightness for RPGs, shooters, or strategy games.
- Sniper Hybrid – Combines a dynamic crosshair with three-level zoom to create an optical aiming effect.
- PBP/PIP Modes – Allow for simultaneous stream broadcasting and gameplay on one screen.
Compatibility with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X via HDMI 2.1 (supporting 4K@120Hz with VRR) turns the monitor into a true multi-platform hub. PC gamers will appreciate the inclusion of a DisplayPort 1.4, and the built-in headset jack eliminates the need to hunt for an audio output on the PC.
Official sales have kicked off in China at a price of $220 — a competitive price point given that rivals charge $50–70 more for similar functionality. The company has not yet announced plans to ship to other regions.
