Press ratings for the computer-animated film Mufasa: The Lion King have surfaced on Metacritic. This is a prequel to the 2019 remake of The Lion King. Initial reviews from critics are mixed, with the average score standing at 58 at the time of writing.

As Deadline writes in its exclusive article, director Michael Gracey is in talks with Disney to film a live-action remake of Tangled. The plot of the film will completely repeat the original story.

The producer of The Mandalorian and Grogu recently announced the completion of the filming process. The movie is set to be released on May 22, 2026, with Pedro Pascal reprising his lead role.

Disney has released the trailer for its live-action adaptation of the classic animated film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, simply titled Snow White. The trailer features Rachel Zegler as Snow White, Gal Gadot as the Evil Queen, and the seven dwarfs, among other characters. A new poster for the film has also been released.

Last week marked the premiere of the animated film Moana 2, which has already broken records for global box office earnings.
