Apple Adds Two iPhones to List of «Obsolete» Devices
Apple has updated its list of «obsolete» devices, adding two fairly popular iPhones and one Apple Watch. This means that it will be quite problematic to repair them.
The list of «vintage» models includes the iPhone 6s Plus and iPhone XS Max, which were released in 2015 and 2018, respectively. This list usually includes devices that were discontinued more than 5 years ago. In this case, the gadgets can no longer be easily repaired in official service centers, since it is impossible to order spare parts. As for the iPhone XS and iPhone 6s from the same lines, they have not yet been recognized as obsolete.
Along with a couple of iPhones, the Apple Watch Series 2 with a stainless steel case was added to the list, since 7 years have passed since sales ceased. Now the watch falls under the same restriction as other devices — spare parts are no longer produced for them.
Earlier it became known that Apple will soon introduce a tablet for the «smart» home.
