Almost Cyberpunk 2077: Panasonic founder to be «resurrected» with AI

The Panasonic Group announced that it had developed an AI copy of the brand's founder, Konosuke Matsushita, who died in 1989. The digital twin will train new employees, and in the future will even be able to make management decisions — just like the head of the Arasaka corporation in Cyberpunk 2077.

The Panasonic Group reported this on its own website. The neural network was developed with the help of the Matsuo Institute at the University of Tokyo. The model was trained on the works of Konosuke Matsushita, who was once recognized in Japan as the «God of Management.» With the help of the AI copy of the founder, Panasonic intends to train new employees, introducing them to the philosophy and views of the entrepreneur.

Panasonic's AI reproduces speech based on a large database and audio recordings such as Konosuke Matsushita's works, lectures, dialogues, etc. We developed the AI in line with the concept of «Responsible AI» that focuses on people, and challenged the generation of «digital twins.»

In the future, the group plans to further develop Konosuke Matsushita's AI model so that it can be consulted on important decisions for the company.

There was a slightly scary incident earlier with Google's AI, which began to insult the user instead of helping with homework.
