PS5 Outselling PS4 in the U.S., While Xbox Series X/S Trails Behind Xbox One

Updated information on PlayStation 5 sales has been released. According to Circana's report, the PS5 continues to outpace the PS4 in sales rates in the U.S. for the first 52 months since launch.
The PS5 has sold 75 million units, which is 7% more than the PS4 during the same period. By March 2022, the PS4 had reached 117.2 million sales worldwide over its lifetime.
Meanwhile, Xbox Series X/S sales are lagging 19% behind Xbox One, with around 32 million Xbox Series X/S consoles sold, compared to Xbox One's 57.9 million. In February 2025, overall video game hardware sales dropped by 25%, and accessories by 8%.
