The Most Powerful Mini-PC with an AI Chip and 128GB RAM Launches on April 7

GMKtec is gearing up to launch one of its most powerful devices yet—the EVO-X2 mini-PC. At its core lies the AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395, a 16-core, 32-thread monster built on the Strix Halo architecture. The standout feature is its integrated Radeon 8060S GPU, which, according to the manufacturer, surpasses NVIDIA’s mobile RTX 4060 and 4070 in energy efficiency benchmarks.

The device boasts record-breaking specs for a mini-PC: up to 128GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a 2TB SSD. This massive memory capacity enables the execution of local language models (LLMs) like GPT-4 and Mistral without cloud servers. GMKtec claims that in big data processing tasks, the EVO-X2 outperforms even discrete GPUs like the RTX 5090D, thanks to its optimization for parallel computing.

The mini-PC supports Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.3 for ultra-fast data transfer, while its peak power consumption is just 140W—half that of traditional gaming PCs. While the price tag is steep, experts emphasize that there are no direct competitors with such specs on the market. This is the first mini-PC capable of serving as a full-fledged workstation for ML tasks.

Pre-orders open on April 7, with prices starting at $2,060. Thanks to its unique hardware and innovative technology, the EVO-X2 is set to become a flagship in its segment. GMKtec has also announced more affordable configurations with 32GB RAM, likely aiming to capture a broader market.
