TOP-5 Main Games of State of Play 2025

On the night of February 12-13, Sony held its State of Play conference. New games were announced, trailers were shown, and release dates for many hotly anticipated projects were announced. We have collected the best of them in this article.
MindsEye
MindsEye is a new game from Leslie Benzies, the game director of all numbered games in the GTA series, starting with the third part. At State of Play, we were shown a two-minute gameplay trailer. Apparently, we are in for a hybrid of Cyberpunk 2077, Watch_Dogs and Grand Theft Auto 5, with lively shootouts and driving sports cars. And the video also showed drones and humanoid robots. All this looks really intriguing. The release is scheduled for this summer.

SAROS
Housemarque, the creators of the dubious Returnal, announced a new PlayStation 5 exclusive. We are again in for a roguelike game. Its action will unfold on the planet Carcosa, which lives under the threat of an eternal eclipse. Moreover, each death of the player will change the world. The dark plot here is combined with lively action. SAROS will be released on Sony consoles in 2026.
Onimusha: Way of the Sword
The new Onimusha looks like a worthy successor to the classic games in the series. If we take more modern analogues, the project is perceived as a hybrid of Devil May Cry 5 and Sekiro: Shadow Die Twice. The main character Miyamoto Musashi relies on a katana and deadly magic in battle, and uses environmental objects if necessary. The battles here are not as fast as in other slashers, but you need to carefully calculate each action and, if possible, avoid making mistakes. The game will be released in 2026.
Hell is Us
A futuristic soulslike, the action of which takes place in an isolated country where a civil war and a mysterious anomaly are raging. It summons extremely dangerous creatures from another world that cannot be dealt with by ordinary firearms. You will have to craft melee weapons and try to defeat local bosses with their help. Despite the development of technology, there is no regular map with a GPS navigator here. But you can rely on the help of a drone that always flies next to the main character. The release will take place on September 4, 2025.
Lies of P: Overture
The original Lies of P was jokingly called Bloodborne for PC players. There is some truth in this, because we have a good soulslike in the Victorian England setting with a touch of retrofuturism. The Overture add-on is a prequel to the main story. We will visit the city of Krath in the last days of its golden era. But even then, terrible secrets were hidden behind the facades of its streets. We are waiting for new plot details and really difficult bosses. The release is scheduled for the summer of 2025.
Bonus: Stellar Blade, the most visually beautiful game of State of Play
Stellar Blade will appear on computers in June of this year. In addition, a crossover with Goddess of Victory: Nikke, another action game from the same developers from Shift Up, was announced. However, the main reason why Eve's adventures are waiting on PC is the support of mods with the ability to replace or completely remove the main character's clothes.
