It seems that Gears 6 will be announced this summer

Gaming companies are starting to prepare for summer presentations — yesterday we saw the announcement of Ubisoft Forward, which will take place on June 10 in Los Angeles. If we are to believe the verified insider Jeff Grubb, in a few months we will also see a presentation from Microsoft, where the company will officially introduce the sixth installment of Gears of War.

Grubb does not yet know the details of the game, only noting that the new shooter could be presented this summer. His speculations were later confirmed by The Verge editor Tom Warren.

If the rumors are to be believed, Gears 6 will be the first installment in the franchise's history to feature a full-fledged open world. Most likely, the game is running on Unreal Engine 5.

Yesterday, Jeff Grubb also reported that the next PlayStation presentation will take place in May. The event is expected to showcase the remake of Silent Hill 2, which recently received ESRB age rating.
