A new mystical shooter in the vein of «Lovecraftian horrors» titled Decadent has been announced
Fulqrum Publishing and developer studio Incantation Games have announced Decadent, a narrative-driven first-person shooter that combines elements of horror inspired by «Lovecraftian horrors».
The creators have already released the first teaser trailer and screenshots.
The main character is John Lorn, a World War I veteran. According to the plot, he becomes the host of a strange parasite, after which anomalous events begin to occur to him.
Throughout the game, players will have to fight various supernatural creatures, as well as explore diverse locations. Additionally, the character can use ancient artifacts that are capable of endowing the hero with new abilities.
The game will feature a special mechanic responsible for the character's sanity. In some situations, the hero may see hallucinations, which can lead to panic attacks.
Decadent is set to be released in 2025 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. The project can be added to the wishlist on Steam.
