Xbox's Updated Hub Revealed — and Gamers Aren't Happy

The Verge editor Tom Warren has shared a video showcasing Xbox’s updated hub. The update is currently being tested by Insider Program participants but will eventually roll out to all users.

The new hub provides additional game information, including playtime, unlocked achievements, and captured screenshots. However, it opens with the A button, which slightly delays game launches.

Users on ResetEra have already criticized the change, calling the hub inconvenient. “If the game is on my Home Menu, I want to jump right into it. Xbox this entire gen seems to HATE the UI they made for XB1,” complained moderator Jawmuncher.

Meanwhile, reports suggest that the next Xbox console is expected in 2027, with the first portable Xbox device potentially launching in 2025.
