Who are community authors?
Community authors are users who write news, articles and guides for VGTimes through the Create → News or article form. The status gives you:
- Publishing your materials without review. A submitted material goes live right away. The editors see every post and can edit or remove it if it breaks the rules.
- The author dashboard — weekly views of your materials, daily and monthly charts, your top materials, your rank among authors in news, articles and guides, and all comments waiting for your reply. The link is in the menu under your avatar.
- A Community author badge in your profile and comments.
How to get the status?
The status is granted automatically when all conditions are met:
- at least three of your own materials submitted through this form were published in the last six months;
- at least one of them was published in the last 90 days;
- you visited the site within the last month.
The check runs on the first day of every month. If you are logged in, the top of this page shows how far you are from the status.
How to keep the status?
The monthly check removes the status if:
- none of your materials were published in the last six months;
- you have not visited the site for over three months.
The dashboard warns you in advance if the status is at risk. A removed status comes back automatically once you meet the conditions again.
Publishing without review is a sign of trust. If your materials break the site rules, the status can be removed manually. The conditions may change over time.
