Battlefield 1942 is a first-person shooter. The gameplay consists of capturing and holding control points — special places on the map. Whoever controls such a point can use it to enter the game after being killed; at the beginning of the game or at will. At some control points, military equipment is generated (tanks, armored personnel carriers, SUVs, airplanes, self-propelled guns). That is, if a player captures such a point, he can use reinforcements from several vehicles. Also, there are mobile control points — ships. In addition to their weapons, they are entry points into the game. At the beginning of each game, teams are given a certain number of soldiers (from 50 to 400). When one fighter dies, this indicator decreases by one unit. When the indicator reaches 0, the team loses. The indicator itself gradually decreases if one of the sides has more control points.
