The Second World War is the largest armed conflict in human history, the most extensive and "bloody." It involved 62 states, and combat operations took place on the territories of Europe, Asia, Africa, as well as in the waters of all existing oceans.
Games about the Second World War usually depict the events of this armed conflict from the perspective of one of the sides: gamers can take control of either an entire army or a single soldier who breaks through crowds of enemy soldiers or shoots from cover as a sniper.
But not all games about the Second World War are accurate: some titles, like Wolfenstein, present one side of the conflict in a very unusual light, showing the player unique technologies, zombie armies, or even enemy commanders making deals with dark forces.
