This app adds a comprehensive ECU tuning tool to BeamNG.drive. It works with virtually any vehicle, engine, or turbocharger and simulates a real-world chip-tuning dyno while placing a strong emphasis on learning. ECU adjustments directly affect engine behavior: proper tuning can increase power, while incorrect settings may cause detonation, misfires, or even engine damage.
ECU Tuning:
- Fuel, ignition, boost, and lambda maps;
- Color-coded map values;
- Individual and group cell selection;
- Additive, subtractive, and percentage-based adjustments;
- Fill, smoothing, and interpolation tools;
- Copy and paste functionality;
- Base and difference map views;
- Live engine position indicator on the map;
- 3D map visualization.
Real-Time Engine Monitoring:
- Lambda readings;
- Knock detection;
- Injector duty cycle;
- Fuel pressure;
- Intake air temperature;
- Engine condition monitoring;
- Warnings when abnormal values are detected.
Dyno:
- Built-in dynamometer for measuring engine power and torque;
- Power and torque curve generation;
- The first measurement is automatically saved as a baseline;
- Subsequent runs can be compared against the baseline result.
Training:
- Built-in step-by-step lessons explaining each tuning procedure;
- The vehicle is automatically prepared for each lesson;
- 8 lessons ranging from beginner to advanced:
- Reading instrument data;
- Correcting an overly rich fuel mixture;
- Power tuning and knock prevention;
- Dyno tuning for maximum power;
- Advanced power improvements involving mixture composition, valve timing, and boost;
- Setting up a two-step launch limiter;
- Boost tuning on a turbocharged vehicle;
- Creating a safe turbocharged engine tune.
Help System:
- Analyzes current engine data and recent dyno results;
- Provides recommendations for fixing detected problems;
- Identifies lean conditions at high RPM;
- Warns about excessive boost pressure;
- Detects engine damage;
- Redirects you to the appropriate section to resolve the issue.
Additional:
- The app allows you to experiment with engine tuning without permanently damaging your setup. Resetting the vehicle restores the original parameters.
Installation:
- Download the mod archive and move it to: C:\Users\UserNAME\Documents\BeamNG.drive\mods.
