Platformers
Platformers are a fairly common genre of games in which the main character has to jump a lot to pass levels and overcome obstacles.
Platformers can be either side-view or three-dimensional, but they are all united by the constant need to jump over obstacles and platforms. The enemies in these games are not particularly strong and for professionals they are more of a cosmetic effect than a threat.
