A mobile gacha RPG in which the player assembles a team of fantasy characters and takes part in PvE and PvP battles. The project focuses on automated combat, fast progression, and a large number of rewards.
Lost Crown builds its progression around a clear and accessible structure: players start with an available basic roster, gradually accumulate resources, and then transition to stronger heroes. At the same time, simply obtaining a rare character is not enough — what matters more is integrating them into an effective team composition.
Over time, the game shifts from managing a single squad to handling multiple teams, as different modes favor specific hero combinations.
Gameplay and modes
The core of the game revolves around battles between squads of up to five heroes. Combat takes place in a semi-automated format: characters attack on their own, while the outcome depends on team composition, progression, and synergy. Each hero has a class and an elemental affinity, making it important to combine them correctly to cover weaknesses and maximize overall damage output.
In addition to the story campaign, which unlocks new regions and chapters, the game features several additional modes. For example, a tower with increasing difficulty serves as a test of team strength and rewards progression, with some floors being skippable if your heroes are strong enough. There is also a mode built around exploring a map covered by fog of war, where players must find a path to the boss by following clues. And, of course, Lost Crown includes PvP arenas, rankings, and competitive play between users.
Heroes, progression, and early game
The game features a large roster of characters from different races and types. Each hero levels up, then continues to develop through star upgrades (a separate progression system), which require duplicates and additional resources. Characters can also be strengthened through equipment and skins that provide stat bonuses.
At the start, the game offers a straightforward progression path. All heroes can roughly be divided into three categories: meta units, intermediate ones, and those considered “fodder,” whose main purpose is to upgrade others. Early teams are assembled from available characters and used to clear initial content — there is no need to invest heavily in them, as they will later be replaced by stronger units.
Particular attention is usually given to Light and Dark characters, as they tend to be more valuable in the long term. However, rarity alone is not everything — synergy also matters. Some heroes belong to specific groups, and when used together, they provide additional bonuses. Since the game eventually requires multiple teams, even early characters can remain useful in secondary lineups.
The progression system remains flexible: excess characters can be converted into resources, and a portion of invested materials can be recovered if the player decides to change their strategy.
Gacha, resources, and progression
Gacha mechanics are a central element of Lost Crown. The game regularly provides free resources, allowing the collection to expand quickly even without spending money. Overall, the project is clearly oriented toward a free-to-play audience and actively distributes rewards for logins, playtime, tasks, events, and unlocking new heroes.
Resource accumulation plays a key role, especially when it comes to diamonds. They can be obtained not only through core activities but also via additional modes such as scouting, treasure hunting, side events, and limited-time activities.
Lost Crown also features AFK mechanics: resources continue to accumulate even while the player is offline, and some battles and activities can be skipped. This reduces the need for constant grinding and allows players to focus more on team development.
