I played the remake, it’s clear that the developers tried, it’s not hackwork, the game is interesting to play. Exactly the same old, good Mafia came out, but with modern graphics and rollers. The game is for old, good gamers, the younger generation probably won’t like it, they mostly like to hate and trash games, it’s rare that young people complete a game to the end, it’s like they didn’t get it. Races also get on your nerves, I completed a race with a bunch of curse words only on an easy level and then only with “25 times”,

For me personally, the first Mafia is a cult game. I remember how we went through it with my classmates at the same time, and then shared our impressions at school). I remember how no one could complete the race mission :). The game has been completed countless times. I loved it even more than GTA.

The re-release exceeded all my expectations.

The graphics are super modern, many gameplay improvements, the addition of motorcycles to the game, hidden collectibles - all this and much more definitely benefited the game. The game did not lose anything (as happens in some cases with re-releases), but on the contrary, it gained. The charm of 1930s America, Prohibition and organized crime.

I completed 100% (all achievements, all missions in the “Walk” mode, everything, everything, everything that is possible).

The game is made well, even well. The atmosphere of the 30s is conveyed perfectly, there are differences from the original.

How to treat remasters and re-releases of classics is up to everyone to decide for themselves, but for me personally, the face of each game is exactly what you met 3, 5, 10, 20 years ago, and not what is tightened with Botox that is looking from the screen now.

No, this is not a call for negativity. But what was then remains a game from a distant year, and what is done today is perceived as an attempt to save more money on the wave of fans’ nostalgia.

After all, this is not even the same product with improved graphics. The “craftsmen” from the developer’s studio take it upon themselves to make changes. In mechanics, locations, even character emotions and plot.

We love those games, we love the memories of them, but this... this is a different game.

Well, it was unexpected that Hangar 13 would turn out to be a good remake of the classic. I expected that there would be a masturbation again like in Mafia 3. And for this I bow to them that they corrected themselves and realized the mistakes of their last project. We now expect that they will make a good 4th part of the Mafia.

From the plot point of view, it changed some of the contexts of the original. Tommy Angelo's life is interesting to watch, especially his attitude towards his beloved. They also showed the ending of the game very well, which somehow made me tear up a little.

I loved the original game. For its time it was a masterpiece - cinematics, plot! Years passed, a remake came out, which I was really looking forward to. And the remake happened. But there are a couple of significant “buts”. More precisely one thing. This is both a minus and a plus. The authors carefully transferred the original - and this is a huge plus. But the trouble is that the original is hopelessly outdated. At the time of its release, it had an amazing plot, of which there were few and cinematics. But today much of this is already outdated. The plot is not bad, but it doesn’t give nearly the excitement that it did then. There is no feeling of breakthrough, innovation.

Great as a remake. Apart from the fact that this is a remake and taken as a separate game, it gets a B minus.

A successful remake of an equally successful original. 2K took the plunge and made a modern game out of the masterpiece original.

I played the game 2 times and I don’t regret it, this game left pleasant memories, it’s good both in terms of a remake and a game, the graphic plot is almost untouched, everything is perfect, the developers even added tasks to the walks

An amazing story that you can't tear yourself away from. The characters are perfectly revealed even in the smallest details. The graphics are gorgeous, especially at night. the light is perfectly placed. Of the Miuses, I would like to note the weak engine. but overall for me one of the best games to date. total 9.5

What a boring boring game compared to Mafia 2! All you can do is just shoot and drive. I can’t buy myself a weapon, I can’t upgrade cars, I can’t use trams and trains, I don’t have money, I can’t buy food, I can’t drink, I can’t do anything! Sarcastically, there is a "free ride" mode that allows you to "explore" the city, but what is there to explore?? I'd rather spend ten hours in Mafia 2 exploring the city, upgrading my cars, eating hamburgers, buying new clothes, drinking, robbing some gun store, polishing my shoes, or just watching people slip in the snow, than spend ten minutes in this game.
