Silent Hill 2 (2001)

Silent Hill 2 is a very atmospheric survival horror. The plot of the game

is captivating from the very first minutes. The game has several endings.

I recommend it to all lovers of the classics!

Probably the best part of the series: excellent plot, thoroughly developed characters and a unique soundtrack. Despite the outdated graphics and awkward controls, the game still excites due to its unrivaled atmosphere.

The Silent Hill series, in principle, contains little logic and clarity of what is happening, but in the second part this point is completely absent. Absolutely everything, from the introduction to every dialogue and ending, is inadequate and necessarily has some kind of symbolic, referring to something subtext. Best psychological horror. At first, the graphics seem outdated because I replayed it this time on PS2, but the art design, cutscene direction and Yamaoka’s soundtrack create such an incredibly thick atmosphere that you forget about the graphics. Overall, it's a masterpiece.

Do you like quests? I love them! They have a special charm that is not available in other genres of games. It's always nice to play with one mouse and a mug of tea by your side. They do not require a reaction and do not punish for inaction.

I perceive Silent hill precisely as quests that have acquired a three-dimensional space.

Even outdated graphics and clumsy controls do not spoil the overall impression of the game.
