Spider-Man 4 — a canceled action-adventure game about Spider-Man based on the film of the same name by Sam Raimi, which also never saw the light of day. Many resources for the project were taken from Prototype of 2009. Notably, after the game's cancellation, its developments were used in Prototype 2, which was released in 2012. The development of Spider-Man 4 began at the end of 2008. Versions for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC were handled by Radical Entertainment, while Eurocom worked on adapting the project for the Wii. The game was canceled in January 2010 (it was about 10-15% complete). The release was supposed to take place in May 2011, just in time for the planned premiere of "Spider-Man 4."
