Rockstar Games is probably developing its own modding platform
The studio behind the Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption series is actively looking for employees for the Cfx.re team, who will be assigned to work with FiveM and RedM. From the job description it appears that Rockstar is making its own platform for creating mods.
Two employees joined the studio in January, and according to their LinkedIn profiles, they are working on the user interface for the Creator Platform. Neither Cfx.re nor Rockstar have mentioned this program yet.
Also in the company's vacancies section, three advertisements appeared seeking developers for the development of FiveM and RedM. The description says that Rockstar is creating a platform and tools for user-generated content. With their help, players will be able to develop modifications and share them with the community.
Let us remind you that last summer the creators of the popular platforms FiveM and RedM from Cfx.re became part of the Rockstar team. Apparently, the studio was inspired by the experience of Bethesda and decided to create its own analogue of the Creativity Club.
Previously, the publisher of the GTA and RDR series bought the Gearbox Entertainment studio, receiving the rights to games in the Borderlands universe.
