A major update has been announced for the System Shock Remake

Nightdive Studios announced a significant update for the System Shock remake. The update will bring not only numerous fixes to the gameplay but also some new features.

Update features:

  • A new player character — a female hacker;
  • Support for the Cloud Sync feature, allowing to continue the game on any computer without losing progress;
  • An updated ending — the final battle with SHODAN has been reworked;
  • Some enemies have received updated attacks;
  • Improved optimization, especially on Steam Deck;
  • Enhanced controller support;
  • Added waypoints for playing on easy difficulty level;
  • Improved enemy AI;
  • Fixed some animations;
  • Reworked balance;
  • The game's ending screen can now be skipped;
  • The duration of EMP stunning has been reduced by 25%;
  • Fixed some bugs.

The update will be available on April 11th. As a reminder, the System Shock remake is set to release on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on May 21st.
