Cyberpunk 2 could become more variable, like Phantom Liberty and The Witcher 2

Cyberpunk 2077 lead quest designer Pawel Sasko shared few details about the new part, which is still in the early stages of development. CD Projekt RED intends to make the game more varied, taking Phantom Liberty and The Witcher 2 as examples.

As Pavel Sasko said in an interview with Aftermath, the studio intends to pay special attention to choice and reactivity in the new game:

In Phantom Liberty, there's this moment where the story splits almost, and that's the structure that we used with Witcher 2, actually, and Blood and Wine with Witcher 3 as well — where you had a split in the middle [that leads to] completely different branches with completely different endings... That's very exciting. There has to be the major production consideration of 'How should we make it?' Because at the end of the day, most players do play the game once.

He also touched upon the issue of the canonicity of player decisions in Cyberpunk 2077. According to him, the next game in the series will not cancel any of the endings of the first part.

Let us remind you that the code of The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 was recently leaked online.
