Insider: New Tomb Raider and NieR Automata Sequel to Be Released This Year
An interesting statement was made by Daniel Camilo, a journalist for the authoritative GamesIndustry publication. According to him, a new part of Tomb Raider will be presented this year and a sequel to NieR Automata will be announced.
The insider cited information from "reliable sources" and published a short list of games that will be shown soon:
- Tomb Raider;
- Fire Emblem remake;
- AAA game based on the Castlevania series;
- NieR Automata sequel;
- EA FC 26.
Rumors about the release date of the new Tomb Raider appeared last year. According to insider data, the game announced in 2022 will be dedicated to Lara Croft's fight against a certain Raider Society. The same source reported that the plot will allegedly transfer players to the open world of India, and the main character will be able to recruit former opponents to the team.
As for NieR Automata, in December, series producer Yosuke Saito did hint at something special for the franchise's 15th anniversary. However, there have been no official statements yet.
Earlier, insider and journalist Tom Henderson reported that the God of War franchise will return to the Greek setting. Probably, we are talking about remasters.
