Cyberpunk 2 Will Not Have Third-Person View, But Sequel Will Get «Most Realistic» Crowd System

CD Projekt RED is ramping up the development of the sequel to Cyberpunk 2077, posting a number of job openings. The listings reveal a lot of interesting information, including the first-person view being retained for the sequel.

A listing for a Senior Gameplay Animator reveals that the studio is looking for someone to work on first-person view mapping for detailed weapon and gameplay animations. Third person is not mentioned, which is likely to have been abandoned to the disappointment of some players who would have liked to see their own character.

Another listing for an Encounter Designer states that Cyberpunk 2 will feature “the most realistic crowd system in any game,” reacting to every action the player takes. The employee will also need to work with other teams using NPC customization, interactive objects, loot points, and the environment to create playground "with multiple solutions".

t has also been confirmed that the sequel will still have multiplayer. At least, it is planned for early development.

Recall that Cyberpunk 2 is being developed under the code name Project Orion on Unreal Engine 5.

Earlier, CD Projekt RED's senior quest designer admitted that he personally voiced some intimate scenes in Cyberpunk 2077. And in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, gamers found a character that refers to Johnny Silverhand.
