Recently, we reported that Assassin's Creed: Shadows has already found its way into the hands of gamers. Ubisoft responded to this leak by releasing an official statement on their X social media page.
The developers emphasized that the footage from the prematurely leaked version of Assassin's Creed: Shadows may not reflect the final quality, as the company is still working on patches and polishing the project. Additionally, the creators urged gamers to avoid spoilers.
Hello everyone, we are aware players have accessed Assassin’s Creed Shadows ahead of its official release. The development team is still working on patches to prepare the experience for launch and any footage shared online does not represent the final quality of the game.
Leaks are unfortunate and can diminish the excitement for players. We kindly ask you not to spoil the experience for others. Thank you to our community for already taking steps to protect everyone from spoilers. Assassin's Creed: Shadows will be released on March 20 this year for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, macOS, and iPadOS. On PlayStation 5, the game reportedly requires approximately 86 GB of free space.
