Verdansk Returns to Call of Duty: Warzone, But Fans Aren't Inspired

Activision has confirmed the return of the Verdansk map to Call of Duty: Warzone 2 with an atmospheric teaser trailer. It will be added to the game on April 3, but players have reacted to the announcement in mixed tones.
The map was decided to be brought back in honor of the original Call of Duty: Warzone’s 5 Year Anniversary, which is why the trailer was named Unforgettable Verdansk Teaser. Not all fans of the battle royale were happy about the news — judging by the most popular comments under the teaser, players are still waiting for the return of "real Call of Duty: Warzone."
To everyone out there: let’s make it clear to Activision—we don’t just want Verdansk back. We want everything back. The movement, the mechanics, the graphics, the sounds, the vehicles. We want OG Warzone. The game that made us stay up all night!
Honestly just open the warzone 1 server, the map is not the only things we loved. We loved the mechanics, the simplicity.
Just open Warzone 1 servers, let us play the OG Warzone please.
Recall that the original battle royale was closed in 2023 due to the release of Call of Duty: Warzone 2.
Earlier in Call of Duty, a collaboration with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was launched with new premium bundles. Another bundle for the second season added the Terminator.
