The Division Resurgence Launches on Mobile — Now Free to Download on iOS and Android

The Division Resurgence, Ubisoft’s mobile entry in the franchise, is now available for free download on iOS and Android. The game follows a free-to-play model and can be found on the App Store and Google Play. Ubisoft has also released an official launch trailer.

The Division Resurgence is described as a mobile online RPG-shooter with a third-person perspective, set in an open-world, post-apocalyptic New York City. The game offers a story-driven campaign set within The Division universe, letting players step into the shoes of an SHD agent working to restore order in a devastated city while facing off against various hostile factions. You can explore the city solo or team up in co-op, tackling a wide range of missions and activities throughout the expansive open world.

The game features a robust loot and gear customization system, offering a wide selection of weapons, mods, and cosmetic items, allowing you to progressively strengthen and personalize your character to suit different playstyles. Players can also choose from multiple specializations, each with unique abilities and active skills that influence your combat tactics and team role.

In addition to PvE content, the game offers competitive PvP modes and a dedicated Dark Zone with PvPvE elements, where players can battle each other and AI enemies for valuable rewards. The project is being developed as a “live game,” with regular updates expanding the content, story, and gameplay features.

Earlier this month, Ubisoft shared new plans for The Division franchise, revealing that a full-fledged third installment is in development — and it’s shaping up to be a real “monster” in the best sense of the word.
