Johnny Silverhand is a musician from the band Samurai. He influences the secret ending of Cyberpunk 2077, which can be considered the best ending in the game. To achieve this, Johnny must become your friend. However, it's not so simple. We have outlined the sequence of actions below. Note that the order of dialogues with Silverhand may change depending on your gameplay.

How to Befriend Johnny. How to Improve Your Relationship with Johnny

  • During the mission Automatic Love after you leave Clouds and go down in the elevator, you will have a conversation with Johnny. You need to choose the following dialogue options: You don't give a damn about me, I asked, what do you want from me?, For a cause or for revenge?, What's Mikoshi?, I'm following, What do I have to do with Mikoshi? and And how do you plan to destroy Arasaka?. Your relationship with Johnny will improve by 10%.
  • At the end of the mission Life During Wartime, you will be interrogating a person named Hellman. Choose the following lines of dialogue: I want to talk about the biochip, I have a problem, and you're going to help me solve it, I have Silverhand's construct in my head, Remove the biochip from my system, How is it different from the old one, Your chip works, congratulations. Now take it out, (Allow Hellman to examine the biochip.) Okay, What's that?, What's happening to me?, I can see him and talk to him, What do you mean?, At least Johnny didn't sell out, Enough for me, Forget about «Kang Tao». Your relationship with Johnny will improve by 15%.
  • Immediately after completing the mission Life During Wartime, the side quest Tapeworm will start, during which an important dialogue with Johnny will take place. Choose the following options: If you want to talk about something, speak directly, (Sit down) You know so much about my past, I'm afraid I'll stop being myself, So what do you want from me?, You have a clear goal. Just like me, You're obsessed, Yes, You're right, Let's get out of here and Johnny.... Your relationship with Silverhand will remain at 15%.
  • During the mission Search and Destroy, you will lose consciousness and wake up in an unfamiliar place. You are about to have a conversation with Proxy. Choose the options That's good. What's next? and Let's help each other. Tell Johnny: We got what we wanted. Your relationship with Silverhand will reach 20%.
  • Talk to Johnny as part of the Tapeworm quest to start the quests with Rogue and Kerry. In the dialogue, choose the following lines: (Step away) Why did you bring me here?, Thanks for the help, Seems like I'm going to die soon, Why are you giving them to me?, Yes, I would do the same, Got any better ideas? (Stand up) Okay, You suggest telling her everything?, Tell me what you're planning and Alright, I'll give you the body. Your relationship with Silverhand will remain at 25%.
  • The mission Chippin' In. When you find yourself in the Afterlife club and give control to Johnny, order an Old Fashioned with tequila. After that, choose the following lines in conversations: (Choose the right hand), The other one and (Punch) Ah, how I've missed this. Your relationship with Johnny will reach 30%.
  • You can either save or kill Grayson, after which it is recommended to take Silverhand's car. We have explained how to do this in a separate guide.
  • In the same mission, you will visit Johnny's grave. During the dialogue, choose the following response options: (Write Johnny's initials) We're fixing that now, The man who saved my life, No, you screwed that up too, What do you want from me?, Alright, I'll give you one last second chance, At first, you were an absolute d**k, When you said you let your friends down..., The story with Smasher upset her so much and Okay. I'll call Rogue. Your relationship with Johnny will improve to 40%.
  • In the mission Blistering Love, you will give control to Johnny. During the movie viewing, choose the following response options: I like the Rogue from 2077, I would do anything not to lose you, I came back to you, and nothing else matters and (Kiss) This is more than it could have been. Your relationship with Johnny will reach 50%.
  • During the side quest Holding On, you will have a long conversation with Kerry. Two lines are important: Do you want to reunite Samurai? and Okay, I'm in. After this, your relationship with Johnny will improve to 60%.
  • In the mission A Like Supreme, after the concert, you will have a dialogue with Kerry. Choose the line Want to play an encore?. Your relationship with Johnny will reach 70%.
  • In the story quest Nocturne OP55N1, you need to choose who will attack Arasaka Tower. Don't respond, just stay silent. After about five minutes of waiting, Johnny will start the conversation himself. Choose the following lines: Do you already have some plan? and (Attack Arasaka Tower) I like it. If we're going to die, let's die with music.
