A Case of Sculptor's Block: Dragon's Dogma 2 Walkthrough Guide

In the quest «A Case of Sculptor's Block» in Dragon's Dogma 2, players are tasked with assisting a sculptor in capturing the essence of a griffin for his next masterpiece. However, the means to achieve this artistic endeavor can vary, each with its own set of rewards. This guide will explore the different methods available to complete the quest and detail the rewards that await based on the path chosen.

How to complete A Case of Sculptor's Block quest

The quest can be initiated by exploring the Nobility Quarter of Vernworth. We managed to do this during the night. However, it will be impossible to complete in the early stages, as the plot requires you to visit the city of Backbattal and meet the sculptor Fulvio there.

This quest can be completed in several ways:

  1. Fight the griffin using your own strength.
  2. Find the head of Medusa the Gorgon and turn the griffin to stone.

The final reward will depend on the chosen method. However, you should understand that obtaining the head of Medusa the Gorgon is no simple task. It will not be possible to do this at low levels. How to find the head, you can learn from our separate guide.

If you decide to simply fight the monster, first talk to Fulvio in Backbattal and then head to the area marked by the marker. Here, the griffin will be waiting.

For thieves, we recommend immediately climbing onto the creature's back and attacking its head or neck. This way, you can more often knock the opponent down and deal significant damage with all members of your party.

When the griffin is left with one health bar, it will fly away, and Fulvio will head to his workshop to finish the sculpture.

Rewards:

  • If you fought the griffin: 7000 gold and 2250 experience points;
  • If you used the head of Medusa the Gorgon: 4500 experience points and 14,000 gold.
