In Red Dead Redemption 2, there is a vast array of weapons. They assist the protagonist in numerous tasks: train robberies, hunting animals, and completing crucial missions. There are over 50 unique types of weapons (both firearms and melee), and to complete the game 100%, you need to collect at least 48 of them. Today, we'll tell you where and how to find all the existing weapons in Red Dead Redemption 2.

Some guns can be purchased from gunsmiths, others need to be found during travels, and the rest are automatically unlocked by completing main missions.

All weapons are sorted by type (revolvers separately, shotguns separately, and so on). They are also divided by color:

1. Red — very easy to miss;

2. Blue — the weapon is located somewhere in the game world. Also easy to miss;

3. Green — can be bought from gunsmiths or obtained automatically. Easiest to acquire.

Revolvers

1. Cattleman Revolver

This is your starting weapon. It appears in your inventory right after the beginning of the game;

  • Damage: 1.8;
  • Range: 2.0;
  • Speed: 3.0;
  • Reload: 2.8;
  • Accuracy: 2.8.

2. Flaco's Revolver

Can be obtained by defeating Flaco Hernandez, one of the legendary gunslingers (you need to loot his body). He will be your first target in the mission The Noblest of Man, and a Woman Starting. Cannot be customized;

  • Damage: 1.8;
  • Range: 2.0;
  • Speed: 3.0;
  • Reload: 2.8;
  • Accuracy: 2.8.

3. Granger's Revolver

Can be obtained by defeating Emmet Granger, one of the legendary gunslingers (you need to loot his body). He will be your second target in the mission The Noblest of Man, and a Woman Starting. Cannot be customized;

  • Damage: 1.8;
  • Range: 2.0;
  • Speed: 3.0;
  • Reload: 2.8;
  • Accuracy: 2.8.

4. Double-Action Revolver

Becomes available in all shops in Chapter 2, after completing the mission A Strange Kindness. Appears in your inventory after completing the mission To The East, if you complete the task with the golden revolver in GTA Online;

  • Damage: 1.5;
  • Range: 2.0;
  • Speed: 3.3;
  • Reload: 2.8;
  • Accuracy: 2.0.

5. Algernon's Revolver

Obtainable from the mission [Duchesses and Other Animals]. It can be started during Chapter 4 in Saint Denis. Cannot be customized.

  • Damage: 1.5;
  • Range: 2.0;
  • Speed: 3.3;
  • Reload: 2.8;
  • Accuracy: 2.0.

6. Schofield Revolver

Becomes available in all shops in Chapter 2, after completing the mission Blessed are the Meek?;

  • Damage: 1.8;
  • Range: 2.0;
  • Speed: 2.8;
  • Reload: 2.5;
  • Accuracy: 2.8.

7. Otis Miller's Revolver

Located in a chest north of Cholla Springs. Cannot be customized;

  • Damage: 1.8;
  • Range: 2.0;
  • Speed: 2.8;
  • Reload: 2.5;
  • Accuracy: 2.8.

8. Calloway's Revolver

Obtainable by defeating Calloway, the last opponent in the quest line The Noblest of Man, and a Woman Starting. You need to loot his body. Cannot be customized;

  • Damage: 1.8;
  • Range: 2.0;
  • Speed: 2.8;
  • Reload: 2.5;
  • Accuracy: 2.8.

9. Micah's Revolver

After the second epilogue, return to Mount Hagen and loot the frozen body. Cannot be customized.

  • Damage: 1.5;
  • Range: 2.0;
  • Speed: 3.3;
  • Reload: 2.8;
  • Accuracy: 2.0.

Pistols

1. Volcanic Pistol

Becomes available in all shops in Chapter 1, after completing the mission Eastward Bound;

  • Damage: 2.3;
  • Range: 2.0;
  • Speed: 2.0;

  • Accuracy: 2.8.

2. Semi-Automatic Pistol

Becomes available at gunsmiths in Valentine and Saint Denis in Chapter 4, after completing the mission Joys of Civilization;

  • Damage: 3.3;

  • Speed: 3.3;
  • Reload: 3.1;
  • Accuracy: 2.6.

3. Mauser Pistol

Becomes available at gunsmiths in Valentine and Saint Denis in Chapter 5, after completing the mission That's Murfree Country;

  • Damage: 1.5;
  • Range: 2.0;
  • Speed: 3.3;
  • Reload: 3.1;
  • Accuracy: 2.4.

4. Midnight's Pistol

Obtainable by defeating Billy Midnight, one of the legendary gunslingers. He will be the third target in the mission The Noblest of Man, and a Woman Starting. Cannot be customized.

  • Damage: 1.5;
  • Range: 2.0;
  • Speed: 3.3;
  • Reload: 3.1;
  • Accuracy: 2.4.

Rifles

1. Varmint Rifle

Available in all shops in Chapter 1, after completing the mission Eastward Bound. Free with the purchase of Special Edition or Ultimate Edition;

  • Damage: 1.5;
  • Range: 2.5;
  • Rate of Fire: 2.5;
  • Reload: 2.8;
  • Accuracy: 3.2.

2. Springfield Rifle

Available in all shops in Chapter 1, after completing the mission Eastward Bound;

  • Damage: 3.2;
  • Range: 3.0;
  • Rate of Fire: 1.2;
  • Reload: 1.8;
  • Accuracy: 3.1.

3. Bolt-Action Rifle

Automatically given to the protagonist in Chapter 3.

  • Damage: 2.8;
  • Range: 3.0;
  • Rate of Fire: 1.5;
  • Reload: 2.6;
  • Accuracy: 3.3.

Repeaters

1. Carbine Repeater

Available in all shops in Chapter 1, after completing the mission Old Friends;

  • Damage: 2.3;
  • Range: 2.5;
  • Rate of Fire: 2.3;
  • Reload: 3.0;
  • Accuracy: 3.0.

2. Lancaster Repeater

Available in all shops in Chapter 2, after completing the mission An American Pastoral Scene;

  • Damage: 2.1;
  • Range: 2.5;
  • Rate of Fire: 2.3;
  • Reload: 2.8;
  • Accuracy: 3.0.

3. Litchfield Repeater

Available in all shops in Chapter 6, after completing the mission Goodbye, Dear Friend.

  • Damage: 2.5;

Shotguns

1. Double-Barreled Shotgun

Available in all shops;

  • Damage: 2.5;

2. Sawed-off Shotgun

Available in all shops. Automatically given to the protagonist during Chapter 1;

  • Damage: 2.8;

  • Accuracy: 1.0.

3. Pump-Action Shotgun

Available in all shops in Chapter 2, after completing the mission Pouring Forth Oil. Free with the purchase of Special Edition or Ultimate Edition;

  • Rate of Fire: 2.0;
  • Reload: 2.5;
  • Accuracy: 1.6.

4. Semi-Automatic Shotgun

Available in all shops in Chapter 4, after completing the mission A Fine Night of Debauchery;

  • Damage: 2.3;

  • Rate of Fire: 2.3;
  • Reload: 2.3;
  • Accuracy: 1.3.

5. Repeater Shotgun

Available in all shops in Chapter 6, after completing the mission Visiting Hours;

  • Damage: 2.5;
  • Range: 1.5;
  • Rate of Fire: 2.0;
  • Reload: 2.5;
  • Accuracy: 1.4.

6. Rare Shotgun

Starting from Chapter 2, to the north of Annesburg, you can find a cabin with a hermit living in it. He doesn't like guests, so you will have to kill him anyway. By searching the hermit's body, you can obtain this shotgun, but if you don't, the weapon will be lost forever. Cannot be customized.

  • Damage: 2.5;

1. Rolling-Block Rifle

Available in all shops in Chapter 2, after completing the mission Pouring Forth Oil;

2. Rare Rolling-Block Rifle

A sniper using it will be in a barn at the end of the mission Magicians for Sport. Kill him and search the body. If you don't search the body, there will be no other way to obtain this weapon. Cannot be customized.

  • Damage: 3.3;
  • Range: 3.3;
  • Rate of Fire: 1.2;
  • Reload: 1.5;
  • Accuracy: 3.3.

3. Carcano Rifle

Available in all shops in Chapter 6, after completing the mission Goodbye, Dear Friend.

  • Damage: 3.0;

Bows

There is only one bow in the game. You will receive it almost at the beginning of the game.

Throwing Weapons

1. Tomahawk

Available from all fences and hunters in Chapter 2, after completing the mission Americans at Rest. Cannot be customized;

  • Damage: 2.5;
  • Range: 1.0;
  • Rate of Fire: 0.4;
  • Accuracy: 1.0.

2. Throwing Knife

Available from all fences and hunters in Chapter 2, after completing the mission Americans at Rest. Cannot be customized;

  • Damage: 2.0;
  • Range: 1.0;
  • Rate of Fire: 0.3;
  • Accuracy: 1.6.

3. Molotov Cocktail (Incendiary)

Available from all fences in Chapter 3, after completing the mission The Fine Joys of Tobacco. Cannot be customized;

  • Damage: 2.8;
  • Range: 1.0;
  • Rate of Fire: 0.4;
  • Accuracy: 1.0.

4. Ancient Tomahawk

Stuck in one of the broken targets in the east of Calumet Ravine, east of the Wapiti reservoir. Cannot be customized;

  • Damage: 2.5;
  • Range: 1.0;
  • Rate of Fire: 0.4;
  • Accuracy: 1.0.

5. Dynamite

Available from all fences in Chapter 1, after completing the mission Who the Hell is Leviticus Cornwall?. Cannot be customized.

  • Damage: 3.6;
  • Range: 1.0;
  • Rate of Fire: 0.4;
  • Accuracy: 1.0.

Melee Weapons

1. Unarmed. Self-explanatory;

  • Damage: 1.3;
  • Range: 0.5;

2. Hunting Knife

This is your starting weapon. It appears in your inventory right at the beginning of the game;

  • Damage: 2.0;
  • Range: 0.5;

3. Jaw Bone Knife

The main reward for the mission A Test of Faith. Cannot be customized;

  • Damage: 2.0;
  • Range: 0.5;

4. Wide Knife

Stuck in a corpse deep inside Beryl's Dream mine, west of Mount Shann. You'll have to go through a collapse that needs to be cleared with a stick of dynamite. Cannot be customized;

  • Damage: 2.0;
  • Range: 0.5;

5. Civil War Knife

Can be found in one of the boxes in Fort Brennand (an abandoned fort, southwest of Van Horn). Cannot be customized;

  • Damage: 2.0;
  • Range: 0.5;

6. Horn Handle Knife

Stuck in a dead bear, near Hanging Dog Ranch. Cannot be customized;

  • Damage: 2.0;
  • Range: 0.5;

7. Machete

Available from all fences in Chapter 5, after completing the mission Dear Uncle Tacitus. Cannot be customized;

  • Damage: 2.2;
  • Range: 0.5;

8. Broken Pirate Sword

Can be found in a broken boat on a small island, located south of the southern bridge of Saint Denis. Cannot be customized;

  • Damage: 2.2;
  • Range: 0.5;

9. War Hatchet

Available from all fences in Chapter 5, after completing the mission Dear Uncle Tacitus. Cannot be customized;

  • Damage: 2.4;
  • Range: 1.0;
  • Accuracy: 1.0.

10. Stone War Hatchet

Available only to those who have completed special missions in GTA Online. Located near Native Burial. Cannot be customized;

  • Damage: 2.4;
  • Range: 1.0;
  • Accuracy: 1.0.

11. Double-Edged Hatchet

Located in a stump to the northwest of Wallace Station.

  • Damage: 2.4;
  • Range: 1.0;
  • Accuracy: 1.0.

12. Rusty Double-Edged Hatchet

Located in a stump near Annesburg, just north of the coal mines. Cannot be customized;

  • Damage: 2.4;
  • Range: 1.0;
  • Accuracy: 1.0.

13. Hewing Hatchet

Located in a stump south of Moonstone Pond. Cannot be customized;

  • Damage: 2.4;
  • Range: 1.0;
  • Accuracy: 1.0.

14. Viking Hatchet

Can be found in an old tomb, north of Beaver Hollow. Cannot be customized;

  • Damage: 2.4;
  • Range: 1.0;
  • Accuracy: 1.0.

15. Hunter Throwing Hatchet Located in a stump south of Window Rock. Cannot be customized;

  • Damage: 2.4;
  • Range: 1.0;
  • Accuracy: 1.0.

16. Rusty Hunter Throwing Hatchet

Located in a stump between O'Creagh's Run and Elysian Pool. Cannot be customized;

  • Damage: 2.4;
  • Range: 1.0;
  • Accuracy: 1.0.

17. Butcher Hatchet

Available from all fences in Chapter 5, after completing the mission Dear Uncle Tacitus. Cannot be customized.

  • Damage: 2.4;
  • Range: 1.0;
